People often ask me what are the differences between headshots and branding pictures. So let’s dedicate a full blog to it!
Headshots and branding photo sessions are very different, in terms of preparation, content, duration and price! They have one common thing tough. Headshots are included in a personal branding session but your personal brand session will include so much more than that.
A little about me, Laure, owner of Laure Photography based in Atlanta GA and how I started my business journey.
Hi there! I am Laure, the photographer, wife and mum of 3, owner of Laure Photography!
I have been wanting to start a blog for so long but I am way more at ease behind a camera than in front of a blank page…
Here is a little about me and how I started my photography journey!
I WAS BORN AND RAISED IN FRANCE & PHOTOGRAPHY HAS ALWAYS BEEN A PASSION
As you might have guessed when looking at my name, I am not originally from the US. I was born and raised in France and my parents and siblings still live there. My husband is also French and when our oldest son was about 2, we moved to Belgium for a few years.
Belgium was a huge step in my life as this is where we had our second son and our daughter but also where I took the time to ask myself what I really wanted to do.
I come from a family of entrepreneurs and after 15 years in the corporate world, I needed a change and decided to focus on what I really wanted to focus on and was good at. I wanted to do something meaningful which would have an impact on people’s lives and photography is my passion!
For a long time, taking pictures was just a hobby of mine, an activity I did on the side. Still today, whatever I do, wherever I go, I always have a camera handy. Discovering a new place with me is not easy. You have to be soooo patient as there are endless pictures stops! You should have seen how crazy I turned when I first discover the Pacific Coast scenic drive from San Francisco to Los Angeles!!!
MY JUMP INTO AN AMAZING ENTREPRENEURIAL WORLD, THE CREATION OF LAURE PHOTOGRAPHY!
It was only when we moved to Atlanta in 2017 that I decided to turn my passion into a career. Becoming a full-time photographer and creating Laure Photography was tough at the beginning. Starting a business, from scratch, in a new country where you don’t know anyone, with 3 very young kids and in a language that is not your native one is not easy!
But is is an amazing journey, everyday I learn so much, meet incredible people and spread little joys (another blog will for sure focus on my passion for little joys!). I don’t regret it one single second.
I love my job!
If you want to know more about me and my journey, here is an article published in Voyage Atl!
Thanks for reading!
Laure
