Global Team Headshots in Atlanta | Interface Team Session
Why This Was the Perfect Time for New Headshots
When an international team flies in for an in-person meeting, it’s more than just a calendar event — it’s a rare opportunity. And for this team of 12 professionals from Interface meeting in Atlanta, it was the perfect moment to refresh their corporate headshots and create a cohesive, polished look across all their platforms.
Interface is a world-leading modular flooring company known for its innovative carpet tiles and resilient flooring systems that help transform interior spaces. So it felt especially fitting that we photographed their team inside their beautiful Midtown Atlanta office — a space that truly reflects their design-forward brand.
Many of the team members work remotely and live in different countries. Getting everyone together in one place is rare — and that’s exactly why this session mattered.
Updating headshots during an in-person meeting means:
Consistent branding across LinkedIn, company bios, and speaking engagements
A unified, professional look for a globally distributed team
Fresh images that reflect where the company is now, not years ago
There’s also something powerful about capturing people while they’re already in collaboration mode. The energy is different — more connected, more natural, more human.
And when companies want to go beyond headshots, a brand session can provide images for websites, social media, newsletters, and marketing materials all at once.
A Studio Setup — Without the Backdrop
I came prepared with my full portable studio setup, as I always do for corporate headshot days. But when I walked into Interface’s Midtown space… I knew right away we weren’t hanging a backdrop.
Their interiors are stunning — modern, warm, and design-driven, with subtle textures and architectural lines that echo exactly what they do as a company. Using their own environment made the images feel more authentic and on-brand than a plain background ever could.
We selected a spot they never used before for photos, with clean lines to keep the focus on each person while still giving context to the space.
This environmental approach is something I also use in my brand photography sessions, where the workspace becomes part of the visual story.
Making First-Time Headshot Clients Feel Comfortable
Several team members shared that they had never had professional headshots taken before. That’s always something I take seriously, because being in front of the camera — especially in a corporate setting — can feel intimidating.
I guide everyone through natural posture adjustments, subtle angles, and expression changes so nothing feels stiff or forced. The goal is always the same: confident, approachable, and still very much them.
Most people walk away saying, “That was way easier than I expected.” That’s exactly how it should feel.
Variety = Options (But Tailored to Each Company)
The session took about 2 hours for 12 people, which allowed us to stay efficient while still giving everyone strong options.
For each team member, I typically capture:
Standing and seated poses
Both profile sides
A range of expressions and smiles (approachable, confident, more serious)
That said, every company’s needs are different. Some teams only need one consistent image per person for their website. Others want multiple looks for press features, conferences, and social media. Before every corporate headshot day, we define how the photos will be used so we create the right amount of variety — not too little, not overwhelming.
Consistent headshots are often the first step, and many teams later expand into fuller visual storytelling with brand photography that shows their work, environment, and personality.
People often ask me what are the differences between headshots and branding pictures. So let’s dedicate a full blog to it!
Headshots and branding photo sessions are very different, in terms of preparation, content, duration and price! They have one common thing tough. Headshots are included in a personal branding session but your personal brand session will include so much more than that.
You are going to get a lot lot of information here under but don’t worry, I have resources to help you through both your headshots and branding journeys!
HEADSHOTS PICTURES
I usually deliver 3 to 5 high resolution edited images after a headshots session. The pictures will mostly be taken from the waist up. You can select two outfits, combine standing and sitting poses, in one location. I will dedicate another blog to the different headshot backgrounds options!
BRANDING OR PERSONAL BRANDING PICTURES ARE VERY DIFFERENT
A personal branding session is 100% customized to your needs. Each element, such as the outfits you will wear, the locations we will select and your brand colors, will be carefully studied. They will help showcase the uniqueness of your brand and personality.
It will include headshots, your work environment, your business vibe, some lifestyle shots, pictures showing your personality, your creative process, details… and so MUCH more!
As your session is unique, planning is crucial. It helps me understand what you need, your business, your brand, your goals and the messages you want to share. I will also get a better view on how you will use the images, what makes you unique, who your ideal client is.
On the session day, my goal is to understand your brand so well that I can articulate everything as if it was my own.
Personal Brand session typically last half a day or a full day and include different outfits and locations.
It also includes a commercial right to the images. It means that you can use all the high and web resolution edited images for any business communication without restriction.
